5-ая Международная конференция молодых ученых по органической химии (InterYCOS 2009)

“ВКЛАД УНИВЕРСИТЕТОВ В РАЗВИТИЕ ОРГАНИЧЕСКОЙ ХИМИИ”

Международная конференция молодых ученых по органической химии проводится Санкт-Петербургским университетом в пятый раз и имеет большое значение для установления и развития международных связей и плодотворного научного сотрудничества между молодыми учеными, аспирантами, докторантами вузов России и их зарубежными коллегами в различных странах мира. Планируемая конференция является традиционной (первая конференция проводилась в 1994г., следующие - в 1999г., 2002г. и 2005г.)

В программе конференции найдут отражение современные тенденции развития органического синтеза, синтетический дизайн, новые методы и реагенты, нетрадиционные синтетические подходы, использование достижений теоретической химии в органическом синтезе, в биоорганической химии, в химии полимеров, новые подходы к исследованию механизмов реакций.

Ожидается прибытие около 30 иностранных участников, 100–120 представителей вузов и институтов Санкт-Петербурга и 60–80 ученых из других российских университетов,.

На конференции молодые ученые-химики будут ознакомлены с последними достижениями синтетической органической химии, участники конференции смогут обменяться научной информацией с коллегами из России и других стран.

Конференция включает пленарные доклады ряда известных ученых, а также большое число устных и стендовых сообщений молодых ученых.

В ходе конференции также планируется дисскуссия о роли университетов в развитии органической химии, о проблемах организации научных исследований на современном этапе в области органического синтеза и проблемах химического образования сегодня.

St. Petersburg was founded by famous russian tsar Peter the Great in 1703 year. In its construction famous architects, such as Rastrelly , Rossi, Quarengi, Zacharov, Benois, Trezini and others took active participation.

Conference will be held in the period of so called “white nights” (when between sunset and sunrise passes no more than 2 hours).

Scientific sessions will be held in the lecture hall of Mendeleev’s Center, located in the historical centre of Saint-Petersburg on the Vasilievski Island.

Saint-Petersburg is the city situated along the banks of the Neva River, which carries the waters of Ladoga Lake to the Gulf of Finland and Baltic Sea. Founded by famous Russian tsar Peter the Great, it is one of the most beautiful cities of the world, well known for its architectural ensembles, parks, theaters, Hermitage, Russian museum and others.

There are many hotel rooms in various categories available to all participants and accompanying persons. Current prices for a single room per night in the hotels of Saint-Petersburg are from $50 and more. Meals can be obtained in the University dinning halls and cafes (breakfast $5, dinner $10).

== Transportation ==

Arrangement of transportation to and from the hotel to the airport Pulkovo-2, from the hotel to the morning sessions at Mendeleev's centre will be made by Organizing Committee. Saint-Petersburg has good urban traffic for city transportation. Current prices for one way ticket (metro, bus, trolley-bus, tram) are 1$ irrespective of the distance.

5th International Young Scientists Conference on Organic Chemistry (InterYCOS 2009)

"UNIVERSITIES CONTRIBUTION IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY PROGRESS"

International youth conference on organic synthesis is carried out for the fifth time and has vital importance for establishment and development of international relations and fruitful cooperation between young scientist, post-graduates and Ph. D students of russian high school and their colleagues abroad in different countries. This conference has traditional character (first conference took place in 1994, next in 1999, 2002, 2005).

Conference program will reflect modern trends of organic synthesis development, synthetic design, new methods and reagents, non-traditional synthetic approaches, application of theoretical chemistry achievements in organic chemistry, bioorganic and polymer chemistry, new approaches to reaction mechanisms investigation.

We expect participation of 30 scientists from overseas, more than 100 representatives of Saint-Petersburg chemical organizations and 60-80 participants from other Russian universities and institutes.

At the conference young scientists-(chemists) will get information about latest achievements in synthetic organic chemistry, participants will be able to exchange information with colleagues from Russia and other countries.

Conference comprises plenary lectures of known scientists as well as a large number of young scientist’s oral communications and posters.

In the process of conference it is planned to arrange discussion on the universities role in the progress of organic chemistry, organization problems of scientific researches in organic synthesis and problems of chemical education nowadays.

Total registration fee including registration, meals and social programm is as follow:
